Changelog
v2.2.0 — 2026-10-28
Section titled “v2.2.0 — 2026-10-28”Services waiting on your review now say so. A service blocked on an unapproved plan used to show the same “Active” badge as one still working, so a workflow waiting on you looked identical to one making progress. It now shows a distinct “awaiting your review” state.
Change sets merge reliably. An internal permission gap could stop a fully approved change set from ever merging, with no error shown. Fixed.
“Ready to merge” now explains itself. The status now states that merging happens automatically within 15 minutes, so you can tell a pending merge from a stuck one.
Enhanced
Section titled “Enhanced”Clearer merge status. While a change set is merging, the panel says so explicitly instead of leaving the previous status in place.
More reliable command execution. The agent now bounds how long a single shell command may run and avoids the command patterns that could stall a run. Long builds are less likely to lose time to a hung process.
v2.1.0 — 2026-10-20
Section titled “v2.1.0 — 2026-10-20”Architecture diagrams for every project. Each change set ships a system design diagram alongside the written specification, so you can see how your services fit together before reading a single line of code. Download it as a PNG from the State tab.
Per-service threads. Every impacted service gets its own conversation thread. Open it from the service badge to follow that service’s specification and implementation in isolation, then jump back to the global thread for the whole picture.
Live activity timeline. Watch the agent work in real time: reasoning steps, research calls, file edits and validation runs, each with a timestamp. Expand any reasoning block to see how a decision was reached.
Provider research and recommendations. When your product needs a capability Delta AI does not build itself — authentication, transactional email, real-time voice and video — it researches the current options and recommends one with its reasoning and free-tier limits, then lets you choose.
Enhanced
Section titled “Enhanced”Plan mode, step by step. Choose independently whether Architecture, Specification and Implementation each present a plan for approval. Steering a plan is a single message in the chat.
Credit estimates before you commit. The architecture plan shows the estimated credit cost for each service. Credits for a run that fails are returned. Estimates are a beta feature: they are a best-effort upper bound, and holds are adjusted using a data-driven analysis of comparable runs so the amount reserved stays fair.
Sessions survive a reload. Your session, its conversation history and any in-flight workflow are restored when you come back, including after signing in again on another device.
More reliable plan purchases. Fixed several cases where a subscription payment could complete at the card issuer without the plan being applied. Card verification that requires a redirect now returns you to the right place, and a failed renewal no longer leaves a plan half-applied.
v2.0.0 — 2026-10-05
Section titled “v2.0.0 — 2026-10-05”Plan mode. Configure it once and revisit it anytime from chat settings. Opt in to planning for any individual step of the workflow.
Feature and Refactor chat modes. Choose Feature for product changes guided by architecture and specification, or Refactor for focused code edits without product-level changes.
Sessions with dedicated change sets. Each session groups its runs into a change set, keeping the work and its diffs together for review in context.
GitHub pull request review for change sets. Review and approve pull requests in GitHub while viewing each run’s diff and the complete change set in-app. Once every pull request is approved, Delta merges them together as one logical group.
Enhanced
Section titled “Enhanced”Chat-first experience and refreshed interface. A redesigned chat-first workflow with support for light and dark themes.
Coding Agent v3. Improved coding quality, performance, cost efficiency and completion time.
v1.2.0 — 2026-08-03
Section titled “v1.2.0 — 2026-08-03”Onboarding tutorial in the workspace. A ten-step checklist that tracks your progress through the first project. It sits next to the chat until you need more space, and stays available from the sidebar when you want it back.
Discord community. News about Delta AI, the product and the team, plus a place to talk with other builders.
Enhanced
Section titled “Enhanced”UI/UX rethinking. Clearer intent, less noise, and a layout that maximises focus on building.
Documentation v2. Sharper content to help you find your way in Delta AI whenever you need guidance.
v1.1.0 — 2026-07-22
Section titled “v1.1.0 — 2026-07-22”Rust support. Rust joins Python, TypeScript and Go as a fourth backend language option.
Queued runs. Complexity is estimated before a task starts, so you only proceed when your balance can cover it. Conversation, Architecture and Specification need far fewer credits than Implementation.
Automatic top-up. Keep a healthy balance when credits run low, so you can keep building without interruption.
Enhanced
Section titled “Enhanced”Agentic workflow replaces three-level prompts. Architecture, Specification and Implementation now form a single agentic workflow. User intent is analysed automatically, so complex changes go through the full pipeline while simple tasks that do not touch system design can jump straight to Implementation.
v1.0.0 — 2026-07-07
Section titled “v1.0.0 — 2026-07-07”First public release.
AI-powered backend generation. Turn a product or technical conversation into complete backend services — creation, modification or fix — using natural language.
GitHub integration. Connect your organisation through the Delta AI GitHub App. Repositories are created per backend service, per project.
Multi-language support. Generate backends in Python, TypeScript and Go, or let Delta AI choose based on your product features.
Three-tier prompt system. Project, service and file-level prompt modes for granular control.
Real-time code generation. Agentic workflow v1, with live updates from the agent as it works.
Embedded code viewer and inline diff. Visualise generated code and the changes against already-approved files. Toggle the chatbox to unlock a full-screen, side-by-side view.
Service approval workflow. Review and approve generated services, then commit your approved files to GitHub.
Multi-channel authentication. Username and password, plus Google sign-in.
Stripe integration. Paid plans and credit top-ups, in-app.
Signup waitlist. Signups were queued so early users got a good experience when granted access.
